This will open the Seed Vault and you'll see two tabs, one for your backpack and one for the seed vault. Double click on the name of the seed (or click the icon in the middle of the bottom right hand side of the window) to move the seed into the vault (or into your backpack if it is in the vault).
Seed vault is meant for a Secondary means of storage. I am pretty sure it wont overflow into the vault. User must place seeds into the Item and also take them out. No automation there. HOWEVER that is a good idea for them to implement as I know a few people who honestly have 70+ Plants. Can get pretty messy in terms of how many seeds a person has.

Move the couch potatoes from your bank to your backpack, then try putting them into the seed vault. For some reason, we can't go directly from bank to vault. Also, make sure your seed vaults have enough space for the new plants. They have a limit of 100 spaces, no matter if they're crown seeds or regular drops. Alia Misthaven.

Re: Seed Storage wasn't meant to be for gold. Well, if you're already gardening…. personally, I think it's fair to have the seed storage only for crowns or crafting. Lot's of people don't garden those types of plants. If you are like me and only garden for mega snacks you are probably only planting Evil Magma Peas.
