888 has just informed affiliates that they are pulling out of the Portugal market as of July 9, 2015. This follows on the heals of several other big names leaving the Portugal market such as William Hill, & 24hBet.
The full email sent to affiliates is below:
We are writing to inform you that due to recent regulation changes in Portugal, we have decided to terminate the offering of our services to players from Portugal. We have therefore stopped all marketing activity in Portugal as of today, and ask you to discontinue targeting and cease all marketing activities towards players in Portugal with immediate effect.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
