poker, the offer is like your regular Christmas stocking - full of ambitious
poker rooms. Let's take a look at the most popular ones.
Trump Taj Mahal Poker Room
Without comparison the most traditional of the Atlantic City poker rooms, Trump
Taj Mahal has hosted the U.S. Poker Championship for ten straight years, and served
as a genuine setting in the determining poker movie "Rounders". The Taj is one
of the largest poker rooms in Atlantic City, with more than 80 poker tables and
a great variety of both
poker
games and limits. With few exceptions, you will be able to find your preferred
game at any time of the day: Texas Holdem, Omaha, and not least "the Beast of
the East", Seven Card Stud. A downside to the Trump Taj Mahal poker room is that
you may find it a bit "shabby". The carpets and tables have seen a few hands being
played. Then on the other hand, you may consider this lack of pretensions an asset.
Also, be prepared to wait a long time for a seat at a table, particularly on weekends.
The Borgata Poker Room
The Borgata is a very nice Atlantic City poker room, providing some of the classy
Las Vegas poker atmosphere to Atlantic City (unlike the Taj, see above). The room
has popped up as one of the most popular in Atlantic City after thorough renovations
and extensions of the localities. You will be snugly imbedded in hordes of newbies
and pros alike. There is a range of daily tournaments to choose from, and recurring

events to play - or watch. Borgata has a strong focus on Texas Holdem, but surely
you will find some action in Omaha and Seven Card Stud too. The electronic queue
scheme showing updated waiting lists on monitors throughout the room is a great
invention which makes waiting for a seat very comfortable.
Harrah's Poker Room
Unlike the Taj and the Borgata, Harrah's poker room is not located on the boardwalk,
but offers a decent selection of games at more than 20 tables. No-limit Texas
Holdem is all the rage, of course, but you may found some other games too. The
service for seated players at Harrah's is very nice, you can order up food and
drinks at your liking. There are a number of television screens to watch while
the dealer wrestles with split pots and side pots. There are weekly
WSOP
satellites and a lot of cash tournaments. The WSOP circuit makes a stop here every
year. In short, Harrah's is a small and cozy poker room with competent staff and
good poker action.
Caesar's Poker Room (Poker Arena)
Caesar's poker room, also known as the Poker Arena, is a new add-on to the Atlantic City poker landscape. Being a newcomer, Caesar's makes a great effort to offer players a stimulating choice of games, including lots of tournaments.
The smoke free Poker Arena is located on Caesar's first floor. A lot of television screens and good service ensures a pleasant gaming experience.
Tropicana Atlantic City
The Tropicana might be your preferred choice if you value good lodging with a really nice view of the ocean. Food and entertainment is top-notch, and the gambling never stops.
The Trop is also considered one of the finest Poker Clubs in Atlantic City. With more than 40 poker tables and over 100 TV monitors you are bound to have continuous action from the minute you sit down.
