There are many online websites and services that offer "sports picks" mostly football picks and basketball picks. Almost all of -hem offer some sort of free daily picks (weekend picks). They make this offer to get you interested in their picks and buy their packages.

Here are the best free football picks from different websites:

There are also two more free football picks websites that are good to check. They are:

  • ESPN Picks: 8 different professionals picking the winner of the game.
  • Yahoo Picks: You can check the professional picks as well as what majority of Yahoo users have picked. You can also check the highest ranking Yahoo members who have had the best picks (are on top of the leader board) which usually make better picks in total than the professional picks.

These two websites offer professional picks, but only on who is going to win the game. They don't talk about the spreads.

For the following free picks you have to sign up for the particular website's newsletter and you will receive their free football pick in email.

Paid Football Picks

After looking at the free pick websites and testing some of the paid picks services, I have found them to be very useful and profitable. The only question is which service do you choose to use? Obviously paying for all these picks (ranging from $10 a game to couple hundred dollars for all picks of one week) would not be feasible, unless you were going to bet $1000 a game and more.

I have tested the following services and here are my reviews:

  • BetVega Experts:
  • Vegas Experts: I havn't tested their picks yet, but they have one good option that I like very much. If you buy one of their guaranteed picks (pretty expensive at about $30 a game), they will put that much (Ex. $30) hold on your credit card. If their pick ends up being wrong they will not charge your card. So basically you only pay if you win. Obivously this means you better be betting more than $50 a game or so.
