Offer above is for non-USA players only.
Overview:
Pacific Poker also known as 888.com is one of the biggest and oldest poker rooms around. It also has a casino site known as Casino-on-Net. As a publicly traded poker company, Pacific takes great care on their decisions and actions, making it one of the most trust-worthy sites for players’ services and needs. They don’t accept US players however, but they do accept and cater to the rest of the World, with languages available to all, as well as being a Mac friendly room.
Traffic: 6 out of 10
Traffic, to the delight of savvier players, is filled with fish crossing over from their casino. Obviously this ends in loose games, and with a descent amount of players of around 1800~ in peak hours, mostly European players since they don’t take US.
Available Games: 6 out of 10
Texas Holdem, Omaha, and Stud Poker along with tournaments are the games offered at Pacific. Not the huge list you would expect from such a big poker room, but a descent one to attract the main traffic. They also are one of the only rooms that offers an instant bonus so players can make use of it immediately at the tables.
Customer Service: 7 out of 10
Obviously a publicly traded company has to make a good impression on everyone – they better… well, they definitely have done a good job with support, answering emails within 15-30 minutes. Getting to the actual email form and phone number however might not be that simple for first timers on their site… but it’s just one detail.
Software: 5 out of 10
Pacific Poker’s software has actually been overhauled and improved quite recently, allowing for some great new additions, like casino, bingo, cascading functions, search functions and much more.
They also have a no-download required client with the same functions as that of the downloadable client. The no-download software is a much better improvement and it’s something that we will all have to get familiar with first.
Overall Rating : 6 out of 10
