There are a lot of them. Now a days every poker website offers free rolls

Try Full Tilt Poker (http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/?key=MDAwMDY0ODcwMDAwRjkwQTAwMDAwMDAwMDAwMDAwMDA)

Pokerstars has freerolls

but expect to be playing against 4-10 thousand other people :)

I like PokerStars (http://www.pokerstars.com/) for freerolls, it's where I started off online a few years ago.

But, as De51DaWG said, you have to expect that you'll be playing against a pretty decent spread of people.

I'm not sure how terrible the spread is though, I made it consistently to quite a few final tables when I was still playing freerolls. They're not really worth the time, now, but I'll still play one every once in a while.

Actually, I won some small amount ($5 or something?) from a freeroll on Pokerstars back in '04 and built it up to a couple hundred before cashing out. That was in high school though, when a few hundred was worth more.

It's really not a bad deal if you've got the time to spend.

And if you're willing to take the time to look around, a few poker sites used to offer bonuses that didn't require a deposit - just small amounts, $10 or so. However, I'm not sure whether many still are, especially considering the legality of online poker now in the States.

Good luck with the freerolls though.

Full tilt does have some decent freerolls. Pokerstars has a ton but there are always so many entries for each that it takes forever to play them.

You can google freeroll poker tourneys and find a ton.

If you're non-US, Party Poker is the best place for free rolls. Otherwise, Poker Stars gets my vote for US players.

I don't know how good freerolls are when you are just starting out. They can really influence your style of play in a bad way in my honest opinion. You might better play at the small blinds tables if you are really trying to improve your game and then work your way up the blinds, after of course going bankrupt a few times ;)

"Good" and "freeroll" don't really belong in the same sentence. You have to go through thousands of idiots that either don't know what they are doing or don't really care. If you do manage to make it through the sea of players you usually get out right before you hit the reward, if there even is one. However, if you must play them... I prefer Pokerstars or Fulltilt.

I don't play as many freerolls now as I used to, primarily because I'm in a much better financial position. And, I'd like to think I'm a much better player now, too, lol! That's debateable, I suppose!

Seriously, I have to agree with TheBigFootball, in that playing freerolls as a beginner can negatively affect your playing style, if for no other reason than because you are playing with thousands of people who know very little about poker, or just don't care. Beginners pick up some really bad habits that way. That's been my experience, at least.

Keeping in mind that freerolls typically attract thousands of entrants, also keep in mind that only the top few get any reward at all. Freerolls can eat up a lot of your time, but they are, for the most part, free.

Having said all that, if you're looking for sites that have a lot of freerolls everyday, I'd have to say Ultimate Bet has the most. There is a freeroll every hour, just about. Some are for small amounts of cash + entry into a bigger freeroll final on Saturdays. Others are for points or tournament dollars, which can be used like cash to get into smaller low buy-in tourneys. Others are for bonus dollars, which are released at specified intervals, depending on your cash account earnings.

There are other sites that have been mentioned that have larger freerolls, fewer and further between. Whatever you decide, just remember you'll be up against a huge amount of people, the play is often ridiculous, and it's not a very good representation of how even mediocre players really play. Eventually, you may learn to sit back a little in the beginning, and let the idiots eliminate eachother. You really can't do that forever, either, lest the blinds will eat you up. But it is possible to make it to the final table, or at least finish in a small amount of money.

Also, beware of freerolls which sites advertise that aren't truly free. Some require you to make a minimum deposit and/or play a certain amount of raked hands and/or earn a certain amount of site "credits" in cash games to be eligible to register for a "freeroll". Always investigate a site thouroghly before signing up and downloading!
