Seven card stud isn't played in too many poker rooms these days but it is a bracelet event at the WSOP. Ironic to say the least.

I wonder how many forum members still play the game or even care for it. If I guessed, I'd guess the percentage is below 50%.

Love to hear the members thoughts.

Tom:)

Hi tom yeah may be some where I also agree with you .
But not completely may be what we think is wrong !!!!
I was reading an article at myholdemtips.com where the auther has described what could be the situations a player may face.
well lets see what other members has to say here, its an good idea to discuss about such topics.

thanks

Is rosesh a spambot or just special?

I dislike stud, but I can play it. It's still played online, I see a few full tables on FTP pretty much constantly but it's definitely less popular than the flop games.

I think there are a lot of 7 card stud players around the globe even though it does seem less played in many areas. I know there are a few online casions that are still geared towards this game but you are right many don't have the chances as they used to for playing 7 card stud.

It's very popular in the Northeast, where I'm from, and if you grew up before the poker boom you grew up playing draw and Stud, not Hold'em. When I lived in Germany 2004-2006 it was just starting to be eclipsed by Hold' em in popularity when I left.

Seven card stud is my next favorite game behind hold em, if not an equal tie. It is a completely different game of skill and knowing when to play or bet than hold-em. You have to play others cards just as much if not more than your own hand. What they are showing is how you play your hand or bet. I probably love the two because they are so different in the way you play them.
