Villians stats are 21/6/6.6

My question is, How do people feel about getting it in on the flop with top pair and a good primary draw. This is not a hand I would normaly play from UTG, but this table was allowing lots of limpers.

Your hand will improve more than half the time with two cards to come. The problem is, your hand may not be good even if a ten or an ace comes. My guess is that he has a set of fives or twos. I suppose he could have a set of aces, but I assume he would almost always raise with that hand before the flop. He could also have A5s or A2s, although that is less likely.

I ran some simulations on PokerStove. If his range is 55, 22, A5s, or A2s, you will win about 38% of the time. If he has 55 or 22, your equity drops to 30%. After all the betting and raising, your pot odds are close to 2.4-1. With those pot odds, I would call but I wouldn't be happy about it.

I can't evaluate your play on the flop. I have almost no experience in NL cash games. In a tournament, I don't mind going all-in with a strong draw if either I or my opponent are short-stacked. That's a completely different scenario though.

By the way, I like your pre-flop call. Suited aces do well in NLHE, as long as you can see the flop cheaply and know when to get away from top pair when it's beaten.

I fold this preflop. You're UTG with a weak ace, I tend not to start limping with them until I'm in late-middle position.

His AF is through the roof but I'm just calling his raise to $24. You're certainly getting the right implied odds to felt him if you hit your flush, but I'm certainly not 3-betting this. I'll call his raise and hope to hit a spade. I don't like getting to involved with marginal/weak aces (to me that's <AQ)
