What is the best time to start a session?
How long can you play well for?
How long can you leave the table without having your chips collected? (ie can you sit out for 5 mins, 15 mins, 1 hour, etc)
How do the waitlists work?
-Can you sign up for a game to be sat in at a certain time (ie sign up to get sat in at 1am in the early afternoon... come at one and automatically get the first seat?)
Thanks
Obviously #2 is person-dependant and #3/5 is room dependant...
-You will find good games going around the clock, at least in the more popular poker rooms (e.g., Bellagio in Vegas, Borgata in Atlantic City). There will be more games in the evening and the action will be wilder, thanks to the magic of alcohol. However, you will also see many low- and mid-limit professionals working the night shift. In my experience, the games are more passive during the day because there are lots of old people and fewer drunks. I play the hours around noon, take a break, and return after dinner.
-During the day, I play 4-6 hour sessions. I'll play much longer sessions in the evenings as long as the games are good (and they usually are). A well-rationed diet of caffeine helps me stay sharp. I like black coffee, but you can get it in just about any form--cappuccino, Red Bull, etc.
-You can leave the table for very long periods of time. I've seen people take hour-long breaks and not have their chips taken up.
-There will be a podium at the entrance of the poker room. Here you can tell the floorperson what game and limit you're interested in. Some places have computerized waiting lists now. If there are enough people on a waiting list, they will start up a new game if there is a dealer and an empty table available.
-I don't think you can reserve a seat for a specific time unless you're playing very high stakes.

Whenever you are feeling refreshed and are in a positive mindset...
How long can you play well for?
Probably depends on how you felt when you sat down...

It depends on if there is a waiting list or not. If they have a waiting list, generally you get 45 minutes as that is how long it takes to get served and eat in most casinos.
How do the waitlists work?
Some allow call ins, some don't. If they allow call ins and you show up at the desk, you will placed ahead of the call ins. Overall, waiting lists are first come first listed.

I think only the super high limit games will let you sign up for a specific time. I've seen people call in and say they will be in at such and such a time and be put on the list just before they get there. Depends on how friendly they are with the person creating the list.
There is a lot more to what you've asked but here is one sure thing. If you are on good terms with the PR Mgr and his/her subordinates, chances are you will be treated more than fairly.
