View Full Version : Limit Hold'em Quiz #30, Question Two
You are UTG in a fairly tough game with several tight-aggressive players and a few mediocre players. You have had a bad run of cards and have not played a hand in a long time. You decide to vary your play by calling with a hand that you would normally raise from early position. Which of the following hands is best to just call with and why?
:spadeA: :spadeJ:
:clubQ: :heartQ:
:heartA: :diamK:
Limp with A:spades:J:spades:. Big suited hands do well in multiway pots. Q:clubs:Q:hearts: and A:hearts:K:diamonds: also do well in multiway pots, but you don't mind thinning the field.
If you had a hand like A:clubs:A:hearts:, K:diamonds:K:spades:, or A:clubs:K:clubs:, you might consider limping with the intention of three-betting a raise. This is a play you can make often in aggressive games. In a loose-passive game, you should almost always raise with these hands. You will get callers and create a big pot.
