Are the Ads on the Forums too annoying?

I have put some pay per click ads on the forums to cover some of my costs for the website, Every time you click on any of the links, Blacksburg Poker gets paid.

However, I dont want it to be annoying for the members.

So vote.

that's part of websites, if it's profitable, do it...


I think they were less noticably/distracting when you had the left banner, though

The reason I took the left banner off, was that I felt the Forums section lost its uniqueness. It started feeling like another page of the website rather than a separate section.


I probably will keep the pay per click ads until I can get some banner ads (for top or bottom of the page) and use those to pay for my expenses.

I recently added Blacksburg Poker to over 100 directories which should bring our Google Pagerank higher and therefore more traffic and hopefully more members on the forums.
