View Full Version : Hand Quiz #14, Question #1
You hold 8:hearts:8:spades: in middle position. So far, you have been making a lot of pre-flop raises and playing aggressively after the flop. You open with a raise. Only the big blind calls. The flop comes 4:diamonds: 4:hearts: 3:diamonds:. The big blind checks. You bet and he raises. What's your move?
Your table image is loose-aggressive. The big blind may interpret your bet as a bluff--a reasonable assumption since the flop doesn't compliment many hands that you might have open-raised with--e.g., Q:spades:J:clubs:. He may be tired of being pushed around and could be check-raising with as little as ace- or king-high. He may also have a draw.
Continue your aggressive play. You will eventually get paid off when you hold a very strong hand. Given your table image, your opponents will not give you much respect.
