View Full Version : Limit Texas Holdem Quiz #11, Question Four
The game is loose and generally passive. Three players limp and the player to your right raises. You expect that no one will reraise. Which would you rather call with: A-4o or 8-9o? Explain why.
I would fold both of these, but if you had to call, 8-9o is the better hand. The offsuit connector is easier to play after the flop. If you flop a good straight draw, you can continue with the hand most of the time.
With A-4o you will have a hard time knowing what to do if you hit a pair of aces. Even if you make two pair, your hand can easily be counterfeited.
The game is loose and passive, so I dont see any reason to fold.
Even if the straight draw comes, the game is passive, so they wont charge you as much to chase.
If they do, you should know you are in deep trouble and get out ASAP.
Cheers,
Nima
