This applies both to Limit and No Limit.

This is again from the book "Holdem on The Come":

"
1- Begin with the 8 outs
2- Subtract two outs if your are drawing to the idiot part of the straight
3- Subtract one out if ysome of your outs dont give you the nut straight.
4- Subtract one out if onlyu one of the cards in your hand is being used, because you may have to split the pot.
5- Remember to subtract one out if the flop comes two suited, and there are at least three other players.
6- And Remember to subtract another outif the board is paired, and you have three or more opponents, because of the possibility of someone having or drawing to a full house

"
