no real reads... If I push, it would be about a $15 raise.

I don't think calling is ever right in this postion, do i push or fold?

Just to comment on my play up to this point, I wanted to find out where i stood better on this board. I had no idea if BB was strong, weak, drawing, etc. I felt a raise would give me a little more info and, being in control, I could see a cheaper showdown if the turn/river brought scare cards. I expected the button to fold after a bet/raise. No idea what I should do here. This could be a lot of things, including overpair, set, flush draw and pair, etc. Just overall confused by this hand

He doesnt have overpair. He would have raised preflop.

He wouldnt raise that much with flush draw.

I think his hands can be narrowed down to a set or AQ, KQ and TQ.

Whether to call or not depends on how tight/aggressive/bluffer is the button.

Do you think J9 is in his range? Could this be KcJc, or other monster draw? I dont think I can make his range AQ, KQ, QT only. Also, I say over, because playing AA like this is very popular at this limit. Almost any 3-bet preflop kills action, so 3-bets are very rare

What would you do in this situation, being new to the table?

i think his reraise should put you on a test.

there for i would go all in. you r new to the table so u need respect.

although he could have u beaten its more obvious, that he put u on a bluff.

i agree with nima posted hands - except a set.

I'de be most afraid of a J9 here. I personally would raise just like he did if i had a set or the J9 straight. With J9, the turn being a J or a 9 could completely devalue his hand. I believe he raised to get the higher straight draws out of the picture and just be up against the possible flush or opposing set filling up. The bet would not be called by a nut straight draw, but at the low nolimit tables flush draws are called commonly. Most people at these tables can not put down 2 pairs like you had at the same time.

I am probably giving him too much credit, but it is what I would do with a set or J9.

Not having any info on the player makes this decision extremely complicated D:

I folded,

Other than a draw, I am going to be way behind here.

So i figured, i'm either way behind or up against a draw -sitting as a 20/80 dog or 65/35 fav. Either way, i hate my equity in the pot and I don't think i'm ahead nearly enough to merit putting my chips in. I'm not sure this was right but it was an almost insta-muck with how much strength the button showed by reraising after a bet/raise
