I just want line checks on the hands where i don't have "Hero..."

The past 3 days have been pretty bad for me, I'm not extracting value right, it seems like i'm up against better hands a lot, i'm getting check/raised on the river a lot, etc... Today i decided to "set-mine" and here were some of my tricky hands

Comments on all streets are welcome and expected

Please comment:

Hand 1: Turn fold ok? I don't see how that turn helps him, is it ok to give it up here? He's very tight, but I'm not sure how the flop check defines his hand

Hand 2: This is standard, not sure why I posted it, I was leaning to a fold here (only hand he'd call with here is AA) but I'm not sure if i can open fold a set like that... would it be spewage most of the time?

Hand 3: Should I raise this flop? Call a 3-bet all-in? Value bet river? Call a river check/raise all-in? How far do I go with KK given his slim range?

Hand 4: Three handed play. Do I bother with JJ here? If i raise it up to $6, what do I do if he calls and the turn is a blank? Fire $8 for a cheap showdown (bet/fold turn, check/fold river???)

I'm not sure how helpful my comments might be, but here are some thoughts:

Hand #1: Not sure what to do here, especially since you're out of position. What kinds of hands will he re-raise before the flop? Is As-Ks a possibility? A-J suited? He may have started with JJ; it seems like he would have bet the flop with that hand to protect against overcards. Perhaps he interpreted your flop check as a sign of weakness and decided to make a move on the turn. You might check-raise and see what happens. I have no idea if this is a good play.

Hand #2: Again, I don't know his re-raising standards. Since he's out of position, his hand must be pretty strong--probably stronger than in hand #1. You can rule out K-10, even if it's suited. AA and QQ are possibilities (six possible combinations). Perhaps he holds A-K or K-K, with the king of clubs in either hand (again, six possible combinations). He may also hold A-Q, but I doubt a tight player would re-raise with that hand in the SB. He would definitely call your all-in raise with AA. I can also see him calling with QQ; he might not put you on AA, since there are only three possible combinations for that hand and you probably would have re-raised with AA before the flop. A good player would be thinking about these things before calling an all-in raise. If he's a good reader, he would have to put you on a set. In that case, I can't see him calling with A-K, even with the king of clubs. He's much more likely to call with Kx-Kc, in which case he's getting the right pot odds to draw--two kings will win the hand for him, plus four tens and running clubs that don't pair the board; he will draw out more than 25% of the time. I would put him on one of the following hands: AA, QQ, Kx-Kc, and maybe A-Qs. I'm just conjecturing here, and my guess might not even be close. Still, I don't think I would or could get away from a set of Jacks. I'm very curious to know the outcome of this hand. I want to know how good (or bad) my hand-reading skills are.

Hand #3: I would check here against a weak-tight player.

Hand #4: No idea. Either play that you mentioned sounds reasonable.

A few more comments about Hand #2:

I didn't say much about whether or not going all-in is the right move. I was mostly trying to guess what hand he had based on his preflop raise and his actions on the flop. Of the hands he is most likely to call with (let's forget A-Q), six of them beat you (AA and QQ, three combinations each) and three only have a 25% chance of winning (Kx-Kc). You are probably a 2-1 underdog if you move all-in and are called. However, I would still move in and hope the villian doesn't call. You could easily have him beat on the flop, but the board is scary. Moving all-in will win the hand for you most of the time and remove the difficulty of having to play on the turn and river.

It would be nice if someone more familiar with NL Hold'em would respond.

In short:

Hand one: Fold

Hand two: I assume you won. Good raise. Good pot.

Hand three: I would check the river because of the flush

Hand four: Make a small but reasonable raise to get a feel of his hand. If you get reraised you can fold.

Cheers,
Nima
