I'm new to the forum and wanted to post a hand I played the other day on Party Poker. I don't have the hand history, but this hand is etched in my mind as impossible.

From previous hands, Joe seems to be a extremely tight player.

6 players in 1/2 NL Holdem
Dealer
Small Blind
Big Blind - Me
Joe
Anne
James

My Pocket Cards are Js, Jc

Joe Raises to 12$
Anne Folds
James Folds
Dealer Folds
Small Blind Calls
I Call

3 players to the Flop - Qh Jd 2h

Joe Bets 6
Small Blind Calls
I Raise to 12
Joe Calls
Small Blind Folds

Pot is now 42$

2 players on Turn - Jh

Joe bets 6$
I raise to 18$
Joe calls

River Qs

Joe goes all-in after about 30 seconds
I call immediately

Showdown
Joe has 4 of a kind Q's
I show 4 of a kind J's

Joe wins pot of 162$

I put him on A high flush the entire time. It really never crossed my mind that we could both have quads. I also don't see how I could have ever got him off the hand. Is this just a guaranteed money losing hand?

I feel so sour Is there any way someone could put down Quad Jacks?
:?

Damn Int,
That's tough.

You should have been playing the jackpot tables. You would have won 20 , 30 thousands for that bad beat.

Ofcourse you couldnt put him on that.

Int, tell us a little more about yourself. Did you use to come to the shesha games?

Cheers,
Nima

You should have been more aggressive on the turn - you bet 1/4 the pot, when you do that you get sucked out. (I know it's still a bad beat, but in your mind he had the A high flush, you know he would have called at least a pot bet.)

you should never min-raise. it's always a horrible play. i recommend you rause this to at least $20 given the 3 hearts on the board. By Min-Raising your giving the other players a cheap price to see the turn and possibly make their flush.

I hate party poker. I can't play there now because I am from the United States but I never did like the way they are setup. Just a personal choice though. Many people use them.
