Brent,

You made three mistakes:
1- You called the BB for 400 from the button. You either have to raise for fold with your hand, The only hand you migh not wana raise is pocket AA or KK or QQ and you are affraid that the blinds might fold.

2- When he raised you 800 you should have folded.

3- You should have played it strongly on the flop and tried to pick up the pot right there with a big raise.

(you had to know your hand wasnt good after he raised you preflop)

Cheers,
Nima

Ps. For your hands to discuss post them at a new thread.

I probably would have raised pre-flop. Brent did play it strongly on the flop by going all-in. I think that was a good move since the flop was pretty ragged. The pre-flop raiser made a terrible call. He should have suspected that he was behind at that point, and he was not getting the right pot odds to draw to overcards, especially since one of them might have been dead (as it was in this case).

I think I was in the BB but it got recorded wrong or something...

But anyways it was a turbo short handed, and my style had been to push whenever I thought i was ahead. and i felt i was ahead that is why i pushed. I agree either raise/ fold on button...

Im just a noob!
