Ps. If I dont say for example AJs (meaning AJ suited) it means off-suit.
This is a definite fold. If you're going to play this hand, you should raise. However, being out-of-position makes this a questionable play. If you get re-raised you are probably dominated or facing a pocket pair. Being suited gives you a lot more pot equity. In fact, with a suited A-J, I will often open with a raise from early position. If you do limp and face more than one re-raise, you are in trouble. If you have limped and face only one raise, you should call but play very carefully after the flop.
In a loose-passive game, you can play many more hands if you expect a multiway pot. It now becomes correct to limp in with A-J. You can also play any pocket pair, suited connectors down to 7-6, and any suited Ace. Drawing hands do very well in loose-passive games. If you flop a draw or a set, expect to get paid off very well.
I'm not gonna say anything when it comes to Limit and Matt has already responded. lol.
But, Matt is exactly right. That's a definite fold. Because while AJ seems like a good hand, it can not stand a raise or two after the call. Two more raises will almost certainly mean QQ or KK or AA. There fore AJ is dominated to in very bad shape. Even with AK and AQ, AJ is dominated.
