Who would like to know more about newer poker games? If so, what game interests you the most? I would like to learn more about Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw.

I personally don't know either one of the games. But I certainly do not mind learning them.

I tell you what, I will find information on Badugi and post a short article on how it's played. (I will post links to better articles too).

You can do the Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw and we'll play a dealers choice against each other when I get back in town.

Cheers,
Nima

Ps. three days to Vegas. Check back for the report.

Wikipedia has an entry on Badugi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badugi. Wikipedia isn't always that reliable, but they do have links to outside sources that deal with the game.

I also found out that some of the smaller online poker sites offer this game, including Doyle's Room, VC Poker, and Golden Palace. I don't know how the competition is, but I suspect the players are pretty bad.

I would love to start playing mixed games, but I'm not that proficient in anything other than limit hold'em. I'm just starting to play Omaha/8, and I've had decent results. A lot of fish play that game. I suck at stud. Maybe I'll give the play-money games a try. Re-reading Theory of Poker would probably help.

Some Vegas card rooms are starting to spread more mixed games at low limits. I was in Vegas in July, and Caesar's had an interest list for a $3/$6 mixed game; I don't think it ever started up though. Of course, just about every high-limit table is composed of multiple games. Badugi, Omaha/8, and Triple Draw (BOT) seems to be a popular combination.

At the moment, everyone is still fixated on Hold'em. I can deal with that, since it's my best game. Still, I wish they would show more Omaha, Stud, and Lowball on TV. Those games don't draw as many viewers though. ESPN will show some of the WSOP H.O.R.S.E. event, but they only played NL Hold'em at the final table.
