Hi Everyone,

I'm Matt, one of the moderators of these forums. My duties include generating discussion, responding to your posts, and answering any questions you may have. I also write articles for the main page every now and then. I'll start contributing to the site more as the school year approaches.

Obviously, I love poker. I'm quite the bookworm, and I love reading poker-related material--mostly books, but also strategy-related articles in magazines and on other message boards. Many of my posts and articles consist of book reviews and recommendations.

My favorite game is Limit Hold'em. I play at Party Poker, usually at the $2-$4, $3-$6, and $5-$10 limits. I prefer playing in casinos at limits between $4-$8 and $15-$30. In the future, I'll post reviews of the cardrooms I've visited in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Most recently, I've become interested in No-Limit Hold'em tournaments and Omaha High-Low cash games. I'm also interested in lowball games such as Razz and Triple Draw; unfortunately, these games are hard to find, except at fairly high limits in casinos.

Summer was good. I was out of the country for most of the summer. My biggest tourney score was 2nd in a 4.40 180 man SNG on stars for about 140.

Hi, im Dave. Played alot of poker last year and over the summer. Trying to get in some games this year. Enjoyed the bar tourneys last year. I tend to get burnt out after long sessions online, so i think live games may be the thing for me. Look foreward to the start of the bar tourneys.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, this year we are not going to have as many bar tournaments anymore. However, I will arrange some poker nights from time to time for Blacksburg Poker member. (not online).

What game do you play the most? Do you play for real money and what blinds do you typically play at?

Sorry to hear that. Yeah, basically i play nl cash or tourneys. Looking for 10/20$ buy ins for tourneys or about 10/20cent blind cash games. I would play 50cent/1$ blinds online, but i dont really have the cash to be playing those games live. Anyway, i would be interested in any games going on. Havent played many live games lately, and kinda wanna get back into it.
