How do you bet on sports games? firstly, I bet on soccer, football, hockey and basketball, mainly soccer and football.
I mostly play straight wager on singles games. I really do not prefer to play parlays. The odd time, I will play teasers, which I also rarely play because they seem good, but you still loose sometimes.
Anyway, basically I prefer the straight wagers on games. what do you prefer?

The only other sport I enjoy betting on is Horse Racing...... Thats about it. I like to box exactas, and put like 5-10 on something other than the favorite to win. Unless ofcourse, I think the favorite is the only thing that has a shot. Then again, its freaking horse racing, trying to predict it is extremely hard and impossible.
i have no idea how horse racings work. I actually wouldnt minding go to one and learning once

I also rarely bet on horse races. I would head down to my local casino, Woodbine, and bet on the horses, usually the thoroughbread races. I never played an exact since its hard, but I do place to win and show bets, but those are hard at times too. But it is a fun thing to do.

No matter how many years you have bet on the ponies, it is still really really hard to win money. You can play by the odds all you want, but its a horse race, and they all have a chance. The horse going off at 99-1 odds still has it in them to beat the horse going off at 9-5.
I love it, and because I now have a family have not got to go in a while. I like betting standardbread races though (the ones with the driver behind them in a sulky.) Thouroughbread racing is even harder to bet on than standard. I have definitely lost more money on horse racing than I have won. Usually though, if you are having a winning night, you leave with a considerably more money than you came with.
Also, understanding horse racing is just basically being able to read a program and understand whats important. It shows all the statistics over the last 5-7 races that the horse has ran, as well as what jockey/driver was on him, and how they did. All kinds of stuff, most of it you dont have to pay attention too, but you have to know the obvious importance to other issues. Also, the skill of the driver and trainer also play a part.

You should bring your family a time! I know the casino down here allows them to watch the horse races just not bet.
I know what you mean about the stats. The first time I went, I even bought one of those news papers, with all the races and the stats on the horses.

I put some accumulators on the football (soccer). You can get some pretty good odds even though it's fairly unlikely for it to come in. I tend to go for ones with 50-60/1 odds.

WOW, 50-60/1 is insane! Even putting 5 dollars on that and taking a chance wouldnt be that bad of a decision. To anyone that bets horse racing, its not a very good idea to put your money on a horse with 40/1 odds or more, its EXTREMELY rare that they win, and I think that I have only seen 3 horses with 40/1 odds or higher win in my lifetime. It is a bit more likely for them to place or show which is 2nd and 3rd. Even still that is extremely rare. If you put them in an exacta or a trifecta and it hits it can pay you off big though.

Ya playing accumulators and parlays, you could get high paying odds on a lot of games. But its just hard to get all the teams right.

I bet on horses, both live and online. We're fortunate to live close enough to several tracks that we can make a fun day of it. Really, as has been said, any horse, on any given day, has a shot at winning. I've put money on more than one long shot, and have no regrets!
I do most of my serious sports betting (American Football, NASCAR, horses) online at a site that, interestingly enough, allows me to bet on sports, but doesn't allow me to take advantage of their poker rooms or casino. I gamble at other online sites' casinos and poker rooms legally, but not at the site where I bet on sports. We also have plenty of land based casinos in our state. Indiana's rules and regs are complicated, lol!
The truth of the matter is, people are going to make wagers on just about anything-- whether it's "legal", or not.

:D You got that straight!
The only problem that gets me angry is that to get money online, the deposit methods keep changing now, some companies won't allow gambling anymore, such as Western Union, they stopped people from sending money to gambling sites.

I bet on basketball, soccer, tennis and sometimes handball. I bet on soccer and basketball games, mainly. I don't have a strategy, I just go through some statistics of the teams. I bet online. For the last four months I haven't done any bet, I was mainly focused on poker. :D

Thats interesting, I never bet on tennis or handball. I only bet on tennis when I get tips from others that really know whats going on.

I was playing tennis for about 2 years so I was updated whats going on. :) Handball is pretty popular in my country and I was watching some matches, too. But soccer is my main betting sport.

What country are you in that you watch soccer? I also watch soccer, I like the Seria A, English Premier, France Ligue, and German B. But I bet on other teams too especially if I get tips from others.
