If you were playing in a tourney that paid only the top 5 players. You are one of the final 7 and you are currently in the top 4.
You are currently in a hand with pocket 8's to see the flop come 789 with two of them being spades. The first person bets and you raise with them going all in. The third person in the hand calls them.
So do you fold your trips to a possible flush draw or straight? Or do you play it?
I called but later wished I wouldn't have. One player was setting there with 6,10 and another had ace jack of spades and was hoping for the flush. He missed his flush but of course I was beat when the board didn't pair.
So did I do the right thing or should I have tossed them?
