View Full Version : RIP Chip Reese
Chip Reese died in his sleep Tuesday morning. The cause of death is unknown, but he had recently been hospitalized for pneumonia. Chip was arguably one of the best poker players who ever lived. I'm glad he got the recognition he deserved after winning the 2006 WSOP H.O.R.S.E event. My condolences go out to his friends and family.

Mr Reese seemed like a real class act.
It is such a shame that Scotty Nguyen had to act like such a drunken fool when he played/won the televised HORSE tournament that was dedicated to Chip Reese' memory.
Scotty has lost my respect for sure. :frown:

Rip, Chip Reese. He was a great poker player. There are quite a few deaths in the sports this year. Chip Reese, The NHL player Cherepanov a couple a days ago, and today a former nfl player Chris Mims at age 38.

I agree OG, the way Scotty handled himself was way out of line. It is good to see him get a tourny named after him though. Doesnt really matter who wins it, more the fact that it was named after him. Sorry to see one of the greats go! From what I have heard, alot of the pros would agree he was one of the best for sure, because he was obviously a good all around player. Or a great player of all the games, with a good understanding of them.
